Tenant
On this page, we have gathered everything you need to know if you wish to sublet your apartment. As a tenant, you have the right to sublet your apartment. However, there are some conditions that must be met.
It is important that you can document that your subletting is temporary and due to illness, business trips, posting abroad, study stays, or similar.
The subletting period must not exceed 2 years (in a continuous period).
You must prepare a written sublease contract with your tenant. Remember to send a copy of the contract to us before the subletting period begins.
You can also partially sublet your apartment, meaning renting out one or more rooms and living in the rest of the apartment yourself. However, in this case, you may only sublet up to half of the apartment's living spaces.
Before entering into a sublease contract, you must inform us that you will be subletting. You can apply for subletting via the button below.
It is also important to inform your subtenant that it is not possible to take over the apartment after the subletting period has ended - even if you choose not to move back.
If you are considering sublettting via, for example, Airbnb, you must have approval from your landlord. Otherwise, it is considered illegal subletting, and you may risk the landlord terminating your lease.
Easy application
Before you enter into a subletting contract, you must inform us. You can do this quickly and easily via our self-service.
You should be aware that you are still responsible for the tenancy even if you have sublet the apartment. This means that you are responsible for rent payment, compliance with rules, and ensuring that the apartment is not neglected or misused. We recommend that you personally handle the rent payment and have your subtenant make direct payments to you. This way, you can ensure that the rent is paid on time every month. Keep in mind that you are accountable to us, not your subtenant.
