Apply for permission to keep pets (other than dogs/cats)

You need to use a different form if you want to apply to keep a dog or apply to keep a cat. There are properties where it is not allowed to keep any pets.

You can check your lease agreement or the property's house rules to see if it is allowed to keep pets in the property you live in.

Small Pets: In some other properties, you don't need permission to keep small pets that live in a cage or aquarium. This includes guinea pigs, hamsters, dwarf rabbits, small birds, and fish. Larger birds like parrots and bigger pets like rabbits, ferrets, and similar require permission. Reptiles, snakes, and insects are generally not allowed.

Aquarium: You should be aware that having an aquarium in the apartment requires permission unless it only contains a few liters of water.

Permission can be revoked: The landlord can revoke permission and demand the removal of the pet from the apartment if it causes inconvenience to other residents or damages the property.

If permission is granted, I agree that:

  • The pet must not cause inconvenience to the other residents of the property.

  • The pet must be kept indoors. The pet must not stay on a potential balcony or in a garden belonging to the apartment.

  • The permission only applies to the pets described below.
