Deposit and retainment
Before you move into your resident you will receive a leasing contract and a giro. The amount on the giro consists of two parts: Rent for the first month of moving in, and the deposit / retainment.
Deposit/retainment is a 'collateral' that you provide.
If you return the residence in the condition agreed upon by moving in, you will get all or most of the provided amount back.
If this is not the case, we will use the deposit, or parts of it, to renovate the residence to the state agreed upon. If you are behind on rental payments or for instance have to pay for locks change, the deposit is used to cover those expenses.
In other words: Mind your residence while living in it. It's a pity to get back a lesser amount or nothing at all from your deposit when you move out.
